What the AI does at Kokoro

The AI works on assessment results: it interprets them, orders them and translates them into the context of the role. Its job is to prepare a comparable reading so the human team can review everyone by the same yardstick, not to replace that review.

  • Interprets each assessment’s signals and places them in the context of the role.
  • Orders candidates by job fit (a comparable signal).
  • Helps prioritize who to interview first and how to prepare the conversation.
  • Summarizes evidence in reports so the team can read with its own judgment.

What the AI does NOT do

Human review

At Kokoro the person is always at the center of the decision. The AI prepares and orders the evidence; the reviewer interprets it, weighs it against the interview and decides. The report is support for that reading, not a verdict.

  • The team reads the report and the job-fit signal with its own judgment.
  • Job fit is a signal to prioritize, not an automatic decision.
  • The interview remains where the team gets to know the person and decides.
  • The final hiring decision is always human.

Limits and transparency

We prefer to be clear about what the AI does and what it does not. The job-fit signal always comes with its reading — what it means and which signals were weighted — so the team understands the ordering and can question it when needed. We do not present the AI’s output as a closed truth.

Frequently asked questions

Does Kokoro’s AI decide who to hire?

No. The AI interprets results and helps order comparable signals based on the context of the role. The final hiring decision always rests with the human team.

Does the AI predict a candidate’s future performance?

No. Assessments provide comparable evidence to prioritize and prepare interviews. They do not predict future performance or guarantee results.

How does it support human review?

The AI orders signals and translates them into the context of the role so the team can read everyone by the same yardstick. The reviewer interprets the report, weighs it against the interview and decides. The AI does not replace that judgment.

Does the AI remove bias from the process?

No. Applying the same assessment to every candidate helps compare with a shared criterion, but the human decision always interprets. Kokoro does not claim to eliminate bias.

Does the AI disqualify candidates over integrity signals?

No. Integrity signals are recorded with consent and support human review. They do not automatically disqualify anyone; the team decides how to read them.

What data does the AI use, and with what consent?

The AI works on the results of the candidate’s assessment. The use of camera, IP or other signals requires informed consent and is disclosed before the assessment.

Can I understand why the AI ordered a candidate that way?

Yes. Kokoro delivers reports, and the job-fit signal always comes with its reading, so the team can see which signals were weighted and review with its own judgment.
